Victoria Meyers is a founding partner of hanrahanMeyers architects (hMa). Meyers has been the principal designer on a number of award winning projects, including DWi-P (Digital Water i-Pavilion), Won Buddhist Retreat (AIA NYChapter Honor Award; SARA PA Council Design Award; Wood Design and Building Honor Award; AIA NY State Award of Excellence);  Infinity Chapel  (SARA PA Council Honor Award; AIA NY State Design Award; Honor Award, Faith & Form Magazine), and White Space (Wood Design and Building Honor Award; AIA NYChapter Design Award).  Meyers’ projects include public institutional buildings, urban master plans, and residential projects.

 

In 2009 Meyers was one of ten women architects featured in Buildblog’s ‘Women Making an Impact’. In 2013, hMa’s Won Buddhist Retreat won an Honor Award from AIA NYChapter.  In 2012 hMa’s work was recognized with four design awards.  In 2010, hMa won the Urban Land Institute Heritage Award for hMa’s Master Plan design for Battery Park City’s North Neighborhood.  

 

In 2006 Meyers published 'Designing with Light', internationally, with Laurence King Publisher and Abbeville Press, cataloging hMa's research into natural light, using many of hMa's projects as examples.  Meyers has a leading role in bringing green practices to hMa.  In 2011, Meyers received her LEED Green Associate Credential from GBCI (the Green Building Certification Institute).  Meyers currently has a book in production, 'Shape of Sound, scheduled for publication with Artifice Books, in May 2014.  Meyers was a juror for the Archiprix International Competition in Ankara, Turkey, in December, 2013.

 

Victoria Meyers received her M. Arch from Harvard and an A.B. in Art History/ Civil Engineering from Lafayette College.
